Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 May 2026

Plain-English summary: You can use Testnova to test your own apps. Don't use it to attack other people's apps. Pay your bill on time. We try hard but make no guarantees. Either side can cancel any time. Tests you write stay yours; we keep no IP claim on your code.

1. Acceptance

By creating a Testnova account, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Testnova on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

2. The service

Testnova is a SaaS product that generates test cases and runnable test scripts from your feature descriptions, runs them on a schedule against a URL you provide, triages failures with AI, and emails reports.

The exact list of features available depends on your subscription tier (Trial, Team, Business). See pricing for the current tier comparison.

3. Your account

4. Subscription, billing, and trials

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Testnova to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules — typically with notice and an opportunity to fix the issue, but immediately in cases of clear abuse or legal risk to us or our other customers.

6. Your content; our content

You retain all rights to the test cases, scripts, configurations, and reports generated by or for you. Testnova claims no ownership over your application, your test suite, or the artifacts produced from runs against your application.

You grant Testnova a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display your content as needed to provide the service (e.g. running tests, generating summaries, sending reports).

We retain all rights to the Testnova product itself — UI, code, models, methodology, documentation — except for the open-source dependencies, which retain their respective licences.

7. AI-generated output

8. Service availability

We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the console and API. We do not currently offer a contractual SLA on the free or Team tiers. Higher tiers may include uptime commitments — see the per-tier feature comparison.

Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Vercel, Neon, Anthropic, S3, Cloudflare, Clerk, Stripe), and force-majeure events are excluded from uptime calculations.

9. Warranties & liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that Testnova will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Testnova's total liability arising from your use of the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits or lost data.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Testnova harmless from any claim arising out of (a) your violation of these terms, (b) your use of the service to test applications you don't have permission to test, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.

11. Termination

12. Changes to terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you object to a material change, you may cancel before it takes effect and we will refund any prepaid time.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dhaka, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual-property rights.
